El Sistema Venezuela

The State Foundation for the National System of Youth and Children’s Orchestras of Venezuela. Currently known as EL SISTEMA VENEZUELA, was created in 1975 by the master composer, conductor and organist José Antonio Abreu, it is a social work of the Venezuelan State. The UNITED NATIONS through UNICEF, as well as many other international agencies and organizations such as the INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK recognize, support and promote the Venezuelan orchestral “El Sistema” as a unique music education program, worthy of being implemented in all nations of the world and mainly, in those countries that seek a social transformation, reducing their levels of poverty and exclusion in their child and youth population.
This successful orchestral program has already been implemented with great results in more than 40 countries, creating music education programs that follow the Venezuelan model

Mission

To promote the healthy growth and development of young people and children, through the study, practice and performance of music.

To build healthier communities by investing in the positive development of children through music, to acquire the highest values and achieve their full potential, positively impacting their society through the study and performance of music.

To develop children as musical ambassadors of peace, hope and understanding amongst people of diverse cultures, backgrounds and beliefs.

Vision

EL SISTEMA FLORIDA, Social Action Through Music, Music for Everyone, will be open to the entire community and social strata, with a high concept of musical excellence that contributes to the integral development of human beings. It recognizes the orchestral movement as an opportunity for personal development, intellectually, spiritually, socially and professionally, rescuing the kids and young people of an empty, misguided and deviant life
